BookYourTrip (“BookYourTrip”, “we”, “us”) operates bookyourtrip.pl, a site that helps you find and compare tours and activities in Poland. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have.
It covers bookyourtrip.pl and the enquiry form on it. It does not cover Viator, where you actually book and pay for a tour once you click through — that has its own privacy policy, which applies to whatever you enter there.
Who we are
For any question about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@bookyourtrip.pl.
What data we collect
- Enquiry form. When you submit the form on /contact or a tour page, we collect your name, email address, preferred travel date, number of travellers, and any message you write — plus, if you enquired from a specific tour page, which tour that was.
- Spam prevention.Submitting the form also records your IP address, used only to apply a short-lived limit (max 5 submissions per IP per 10 minutes) that blocks automated spam. It’s held in memory, never written to a database, and clears automatically — we don’t retain an IP history.
- Aggregate analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to see which pages get visited, in aggregate. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t identify you individually.
- AI trip planner. If you use the /plan chat, your messages are sent to our AI provider to generate a response. We don’t attach your name or email to that request, and we don’t store the conversation ourselves — it exists only in your browser for that session and is gone on refresh.
We don’t have user accounts, and we never collect or store payment details — bookings and payment happen directly on Viator, not on this site.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and help you find or confirm a tour.
- To detect and block spam or automated submissions.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages and tours people are interested in, so we can improve the site.
- To generate responses in the AI trip planner when you use it.
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising or profiling.
Who we share it with
- Resend — the email provider that delivers your enquiry to our inbox. Your message passes through their infrastructure to reach us.
- Vercel — our hosting provider, and the source of the aggregate analytics above.
- Viator— only once you choose to click through to book. At that point anything you enter (name, payment details, etc.) goes directly to Viator under their privacy policy, not ours; we only see that a click happened, tagged with our affiliate id, not who made it. We don’t forward your enquiry to Viator or any tour operator ourselves — the enquiry form is a way to reach us, not a booking channel.
- Anthropic, via the Vercel AI Gateway — the AI provider behind the /plan trip planner. Messages you send there are processed to generate a response; we don’t link them to your identity.
Cookies
This site doesn’t use cookies of its own for accounts, tracking or advertising. If you click through to Viator, Viator may set its own cookies once you’re on their site — see their privacy policy for details.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to help you, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our own records, then delete them. Rate-limiting data is transient and is never persisted.
Your rights
If you’re in the EU/EEA, data protection law gives you the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to our processing, and receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email hello@bookyourtrip.pl. You can also lodge a complaint with Poland’s data protection authority, UODO (Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych) (uodo.gov.pl).
International transfers
Some of the providers above may process data outside Poland and the EEA — for example, in the United States — under their own standard data-protection safeguards.
Children
This site isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect or how we use it changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
